the boring but necessary stuff

Not to take the fun out of our classes but it’s always important to dot the I’s and cross the T’s. For those looking for some light reading, here are our full T&Cs…

Booking Confirmation & Payment Methods

Bookings are taken online via our website. By clicking on the ‘Book Now’ button via the website, this indicates you have read and agreed to our Terms & Conditions listed below. Once payment has been made in full, you will receive an email confirming your booking including venue, times and dates. Please inform us immediately if any incorrect dates, times or venues have been selected so we can rectify on our booking platform. It is your responsibility to check venue, times and dates have been correctly selected. To secure a spot, full payment is required upon booking. We cannot hold spaces.

Trial Classes

A trial session may only be arranged pending enrolment numbers and availability. Trial spaces are not considered as ‘secure’ and if a customer wants to book an entire term in the interim, they will receive priority. Trials can be arranged by contacting the FYS crew via email hello@followyoursenses.com.au.

Refund Policy

Follow Your Senses is under no obligation to refund or transfer your payment in the event you change your mind or are unable to attend some or all your booked Follow Your Senses gatherings. In extenuating circumstances, an application for a refund may be applied for in writing however all refunds will incur an Administration Fee of $35. Fees are only refundable under exceptional circumstances (e.g. hospitalisation, long term absence due to ongoing illness) with a medical certificate provided and then at the discretion of Follow Your Senses. Refunds are calculated from the date FYS is informed of your intention to cancel, less the admin fee. If the notification is received the same day as your scheduled class that session is not included in the refund.

Whilst we hope you love our gatherings as much as we do, should you book a term, and following your first gathering you decide it’s not for you, then you may choose to cancel your term and request a refund within 24 hours of attending your first gathering. A refund will be made, minus the cost of the class you attended.

Holiday and Illness

Regrettably, we do not offer discounts or refunds to cover your booked holidays, or non-attendance due to illness. Parents are asked to keep their child/ren at home if they are ill. You must not bring your child/ren to class in the following circumstances:

·    They have a fever or cough within 24 hours prior to the gathering;

·    They have an upset stomach, continual vomiting or diarrhea in the 48 hours prior to the gathering;

·    They have heavy nasal discharge;

·    They have discharging eyes; or

·    They have symptoms of a possible communicable disease, including but not limited to COVID-19, measles, chicken pox, german measles, whooping cough, impetigo, scarlet fever, hand foot and mouth disease or norovirus.

If you can’t make a scheduled class:

1.  You can offer your spot to a friend or family member providing they have a child that fits into the same age category. Just don’t forget to inform us, so we can get the paperwork side of things sorted.

2.  You can post in our private Facebook group and offer the spot to another FYS family.

3.  We can organise a make-up class though, these have to be used within the term that they are collected from.

Cancellation of Classes Policy

Follow Your Senses endeavours to run every class we have committed to however should we need to cancel a class, parents will be contacted by email and/or text so please ensure all contact details are kept up-to-date.

Follow Your Senses reserves the right to cancel classes without refund in exceptional circumstances beyond our control (i.e. unpredictable storms and bad weather, the sudden closure of a leased venue meaning a hired location not controlled or owned by Follow Your Senses) and other varied cases of emergency or unforeseen unavailability.

If class enrolments are not enough to operate at a venue due to unforeseen drop-outs or customer shuffling, we can also cancel the session mid-term.

Supervision and Withdrawal of Service

All children must always be supervised by their parent or guardian and must not be left unattended. The FYS Crew cannot be responsible for a child at any time.

Should a parent or guardian behave in a way that Follow Your Senses feels is unreasonable, then the company reserves the rights to withdraw the provision of classes to the customer.

Sibling & Other Additional Adults

During this time, we are limiting the classes to one adult per child in a gathering however we'll accommodate an extra parent or relative when possible. Please email or message us in advance if you would like to bring an extra person with you. Whilst we are happy to explore bringing siblings to class down the track, at this stage our gatherings are for a parent or guardian and the child/ren who is/are participating in the class.

Protection of Property

Follow Your Senses takes no responsibility for personal loss or injury sustained during the gatherings. As you are present in class with your child, you remain responsible for the safety of yourself and your child, relinquishing Follow Your Senses of any liability.

Please note that your property left in prams or bags is your responsibility and not the responsibility of Follow Your Senses or the venue.

Health, Safety and Hygiene Policies

Follow Your Senses follow rigorous internal checks of the venue and its own equipment to ensure that they are clean and safe.

Follow Your Senses asks all parents and guardians to remove shoes and wear only socks as they approach the communal mat to reduce the chance of transmitting germs and microorganisms. With this said, shoes must be worn to visit the bathroom before, during and after class.

Sensory Items & Allergies

Examples of sensory items used in class include oats, food colouring, synthetic hay, artificial grass etc. Please let the FYS Crew know if your child has any specific allergies.

We ask that parents and guardians refrain from consuming nuts within the confines of the classroom and while other children are present. You remain responsible for the safety of yourself and your child/ren relinquishing Follow Your Senses of any liability.

Videos, Photographs & Confidentiality

We love you taking pictures or videos of your child/ren during our gatherings provided it does not interfere with the class. In addition, please always be sensitive of taking pictures of others without their permission. If you are asked to stop, please do respect the rights of others. In addition, if we feel that the amount of video is excessive, not just short clips, then you may be asked to stop.

Our FYS Crew will take pictures and videos during a gathering however prior to doing so, you will be asked for consent via the online Booking Form.

Marketing & Communications

Please note that Follow Your Senses do use photos and videos taken during class on our Instagram & Facebook Pages and other media such as website. This is only once full consent and permission of the parent has been given via the Booking Form. If consent has been given by the customer, Follow Your Senses has permission to use the photos and videos captured for an unlimited period without remuneration.

When you enrol you are agreeing to receive an e-newsletter and other ad-hoc communications but can opt-out at any time via the ‘unsubscribe’ link provided in the footer of the email or SMS.

Renewals

No later than one week before your term runs out Follow Your Senses will be in touch to see if you wish to renew for another term. We will inform you of how to rebook your space and payment terms this is usually done via our online booking system. Note however that places remain on a first come first served basis. Parents and guardians are usually given notice to book their space before the spots are offered to the wider community.

Abusive Behaviour

Should a customer exhibit any behaviour that may be considered as intimidating, threatening or offensive, whether this be over the phone, in class, towards an FYS Crew member or another client, their enrolment will be forfeited immediately and a life-time ban from Follow Your Senses implemented. We will not tolerate any aggressive language, raising of voice or disrespect to our colleagues or customers.

Pandemics & Lockdowns

If, in the reason of a local or national lockdown, Follow Your Senses classes need to be put on hold, any classes owed to you can be rolled into the next term. Your place will be held, and you will be given a priority place in the next available term. If you are unable to attend the next term, you may choose one of the following options:

·    Gift your spot and remaining sessions to a friend or family member if you are no longer able to finish the full enrolment

·    FYS Gift Voucher to the value of your pre-booked term (NB: vouchers are valid for 3 years)

·    Full refund
